A technically superb boxer with one of the finest jabs in heavyweight history, Holmes famously defeated Muhammad Ali in 1980 in his mentor's ill-fated comeback attempt, and also beat Ken Norton, Earnie Shavers, and Ernie Holmes in his rise to the top. Known as "The Easton Assassin," Holmes is inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame and is widely regarded as one of the best heavyweight champions of all time.
