Under their maverick manager, Brian Clough, Nottingham Forest , a relatively smal English provincial club, had won European club football's biggest prize by beating Malmo 1-0. In a competition that had started with the likes of Real Madrid, Juventus & Liverpool , it was Forest who ran out winners. They had shown what man management and teamwork could achieve.
